Frenz Pickleball makes an impact
Pickleball began on a small island just off the coast near Seattle, way back in 1965. It has grown at a fantastic rate in recent years, especially during Covid, when people would form a bubble of players and set up games in the street, or parks.
Today there are pickleball courts across America, and now a few are appearing in the UK too.
Frenz Pickleball have been using badminton courts in leisure centres, community halls and now outdoors in parks, to deliver pickleball sessions and they are very popular, so that now you can play pickleball somewhere every day of the week, and it’s only getting bigger and better, with more courts and more time slots.
Incredibly popular with seniors, kids and parents, and adapted for disability players, pickleball is making an impact on health and wellbeing and it’s a great social occasion too.
Frenz Pickleball’s work with ‘Mobility’ Pickleball at Hazel Court Residential Community was recognised by Swansea Sports awards 2023/4.
